Express letter of the week
Letter published as 'letter of the week' in Express Newspapers 29/07/07
Dear Sir,
So we are told water bills must go up. The government and local authorities fail to protect the people properly; water companies already make vast profits and the victims have to pay. They’ve lost their possessions, their livelihoods, their clean water, their power, their future peace. They’ve been mugged and in our ‘modern society’ it’s the victims who doubly suffer.
We see Brown in his true light now. He may be Prime Minister but the old Chancellor in him won’t go away. He won’t be happy until every last penny has been taken from the peoples’ pockets to feed his voracious appetite for waste and bureaucracy.
